Recording manual journal entries
Post adjusting entries directly to the ledger when no document fits.
When and how
Use a manual journal entry for adjustments that do not arise from an invoice, bill, or payment — for example, depreciation, accruals, or reclassifications. Enter lines until debits equal credits, then post.
Entries can only be posted into open accounting periods; closed periods are locked.
